The Court Reporting Services office is primarily responsible for accurately capturing and maintaining the record for all courtroom proceedings for each division of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, including Family, Juvenile, Criminal, and Civil.  All requests for transcripts and/or digital recordings must be made in writing through this office using the forms below.

Transcripts are the official record and are required for appeals.  Only transcripts prepared by this office or at its direction are deemed the official record.  To estimate the cost of a transcript, please note that every hour on the record in court would yield approximately 50 pages.  See the Transcription Rate Schedule below for detailed information regarding page rates and turnaround times.

Digital audio recordings are available to anyone for purchase.  Parties and their counsel are also entitled to the video portion of the recording if available.  The viewing software is included on the disc, so no additional program is required to play it.  Advance payment is required for digital recordings, and instructions regarding payment are located at the top of the Digital Recording Request Form below.

Note:  Please email all requests for transcripts or recordings to courtreporters@mdcourts.gov or fax to 410-545-7764.
