The Court Reporting Services office has the primary responsibility for accurately capturing and maintaining the record for all courtroom proceedings for each division of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, including Family, Juvenile, Criminal and Civil. All requests for transcripts and/or digital recordings must be made in writing through this office using the forms below.
Transcripts are the official record and are required for appeals. In order to estimate the cost of a transcript, please note that every hour on the record in court would yield approximately 50 pages. See the Transcription Rate Schedule below for detailed information regarding page rates and turnaround times.
Audio CDs are available for purchase, and the viewing software is included on the disc. Advance payment is required for audio CDs, and instructions regarding payment are located on bottom of the Audio Request Form below.
Please note that non-parties in a case must wait until a proceeding has concluded in Circuit Court before a digital recording may be requested.
