In our courtrooms, CourtCall will be used in the following circumstances in the Civil docket:

  • Pretrial settlement conferences are held in Room 511 Mitchell. Parties or other persons who are not counseled who are excused from attendance by prior court order will be required to participate by CourtCall.  CourtCall is not available for use by attorneys for pretrial settlement conferences.
  • In cases where the presiding judge gave prior permission, attorneys are permitted to participate in scheduling conferences by CourtCall.
  • In cases where the presiding judge gave prior permission, professional witnesses can participate in Fast Track cases.

CourtCall will be used in Civil and Domestic dockets in the following circumstances: Attorneys within the Beltway will be permitted to participate at Postponement Court by CourtCall.

Attorneys outside the Beltway may continue to use the current phone system for single callers only. All conference calls must be arranged privately by counsel so that only a single incoming call to the Court is placed, or the attorneys may all agree to use CourtCall. No conference calls through cell phones will be permitted.
